MIRJAM SIIM was born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia. She has a degree from Tartu Art College, Estonia, which included a year at the University of Porto, Portugal. The artist currently resides in Porto, working as a freelance artist, focusing mainly on illustration, painting and jewellery design. She has organised many personal exhibitions both in Estonia and Portugal and taken part of collective exhibitions in both of these countries and also in the United States, England and Russia. She won the first prize of Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize in 2016 and held a personal exhibition in London as part of the prize. On 2017 she won the first prize of Põlvepiku children book’s competition. Besides that Mirjam has won/been shortlisted in several art contests both in Portugal and Estonia.
